In addition, a few friends who are concerned about our city’s direction have also pitched in generously. I know these folks for decades. Most of them have no significant business interests in Pleasanton. They contributed because they believe in my passion and commitment to serve. And in my experience and skills to make the needed changes.

I did not go out to solicit funds. I did not do multiple fundraisers. Similar to my approach to endorsements, I stayed away from campaign money where there were any expectations of favors in return.

I will work for our community and future generations, not the political machine. All of us, including me, have been beneficiaries of the hard work done by generations before us. Public service is my small attempt to pay it forward.
